About Me

Hello! I am currently a Postdoctoral Scholar with the 2035 Initiative at UC Santa Barbara. Previously, I completed a Ph.D. in Political Science at UC San Diego. 

I am passionate about understanding the political economy of climate change and making a real world impact on this front. My work with the 2035 Initiative will center on identifying and advancing policies to achieve industrial decarbonization. 

My dissertation research brings a diverse methodological toolkit to answer questions related to climate politics in the private sector, consumer attitudes on climate policy, and clean energy trade politics. As a member of the Power Transformation Lab, I collaborated with an interdisciplinary group of scholars to conduct policy research on clean energy supply chains. I also worked as an instructor with the UCSD School of Global Policy & Strategy (GPS), teaching and assisting courses in the professional policy degree programs. 

Prior to entering political science, I worked as a policy analyst for government contractors on projects with USAID and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. I also obtained an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Economics & Latin American Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. 

If I'm not working, I can probably be found cooking, reading a novel, or watching the Phoenix Suns underachieve.
